This is my report on activities of the Mozilla Foundation for the week ending July 28, 2006.

Projects for the week

Here’s a partial listing of what I and others at the Foundation did this past week:

  • Security. I dealt with a mistaken report of security problems associated with the file NSSCKBI.DLL, which holds the pre-loaded root CA certificates for Firefox and other Mozilla-based products; for more information see my post to the mozilla.dev.security newsgroup.

    Next action(s): None needed.

  • OSCON. Gerv Markham and Zak Greant attended OSCON 2006; Zak wrote up some of his experiences on his blog.

Next action(s): None at this time.

  • Grants. I did some more work related to proposed Mozilla-related grants, but there’s nothing to announce yet.

Next action(s): Get grant proposals completed and take action on them.

  • Trademarks. I did more work on trademarks for other Mozilla projects besides Firefox and Thunderbird.

Next action(s): Continue with this work as appropriate.

Upcoming activities

None scheduled at this time.

This concludes the report.
