This is my report on activities of the Mozilla Foundation for the week ending August 4, 2006.
Projects for the week
Here’s a partial listing of what I and others at the Foundation did this past week:
Grants. I approved a grant for enhancements to the DOM Inspector UI (this was originally submitted for the Google Summer of Code) and submitted a separate grant proposal to the Foundation board.
Next action(s): Get DOM Inspector work under way, take action on other grant proposals as appropriate.
Feed icon. I published the final versions of the feed icon guidelines and FAQ to the www.mozilla.org web site. (These are linked to from the trademarks page. The feed icon is not a trademark, but I thought that that page was the most appropriate of the existing pages on www.mozilla.org. People should feel free to link to the feed icon documents from the Mozilla wiki as well.)
Next action(s): None at this time.
CA certificates. I worked on a request from Geotrust to add to their current list of root certificates.
Next action(s): Take final action on Geotrust’s request. Resume looking at requests from KISA and others.
Upcoming activities
None scheduled at this time.
This concludes the report.
UPDATE: Added a note about linking to the feed icon guidelines from elsewhere on www.mozilla.org.
